Lewes Exiles

Martin Carthy heads the list of the great and good of British folk music who take a reduced fee to perform at The Royal Oak in Lewes, one of the longest-running folk clubs in the country. This is due in large measure to Vic & Tina Smith’s unswerving commitment to our native music, together with co-resident musicians of the highest calibre, some or all of whom will be performing on the night.

The Brighton Acoustic Folk Music Session

Meets at The Lord Nelson, Trafalgar Street, Brighton on the first Monday of the month. It's an informal, round-the-room (singaround) set up, with a featured guest act.

Given that there is no PA setup, most of the regular performers have a folk / bluegrass / country background, whether performing traditional or original material.

Admission is free - with collection.
